  • Free training camps held across Karachi’s schools and colleges to prepare young arrows for the championship.

The much-anticipated Khelo Pakistan event, the second Play Pakistan Inter-Schools Archery Championship, is set to launch this Friday at the Pakistan Sports Board Karachi Center. Organized by the Quality Archery Youth Development and Welfare Association, the three-day championship will feature over 500 young archers from various schools, colleges, and universities across Karachi. Final preparations for this major event have been completed, as confirmed by Hassan Abdullah, Secretary General of the Quality Archery Youth Development and Welfare Association.

The championship, running from November 15 to 17, has gathered participants in categories based on both age and skill level. Key events will include:

  • 10-meter category: Open for arrows from grades 5 to 8.
  • 15-meter category: Divided between grade 9, grade 10, and O-Level archers.
  • A-Level and Open categories: This category also includes archers from local colleges and universities.

In preparation for this championship, free training camps were held in several schools, colleges, and universities across Karachi. These camps offered students a chance to improve their archery skills, with all necessary equipment provided by the Quality Archery Youth Development and Welfare Association. However, as a policy, archers affiliated with professional departments are restricted from participating, focusing the competition on student talent from local educational institutions.

Hassan Abdullah shared that this championship is part of a larger vision to promote archery talent at the grassroots level across Pakistan. After Karachi, Khelo Pakistan aims to expand to other major cities, giving young archers a national platform to showcase their skills and celebrate sports excellence.
