In a landmark move to support the healthcare needs of underprivileged communities, the Government of Sindh has taken a significant step forward. Under the visionary leadership of Honourable Minister for Auqaf, Religious Affairs, Zakat & Ushr, Syed Riaz Hussain Shah Sheerazi, a crucial Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Zakat & Ushr Department and Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS), Karachi.
The signing ceremony, held in Karachi, marks a pivotal collaboration aimed at offering high-quality healthcare services to deserving individuals at subsidized rates through Zakat funds.

The MoU was officially signed by Mr. Muhammad Kashif Siddiqui, Director (A&A), Zakat Department, and Dr. Ashar Afaq, Registrar of DUHS. This partnership ensures that deserving patients will receive a wide array of medical services, including:
- Outpatient (OPD) consultations
- Emergency care
- Diagnostic tests
- Medications
- Inpatient treatments
All services will be provided at discounted rates, ensuring no deserving patient is left behind due to financial constraints.
