Sindh Scouts Archery School Dominates

A standout moment of the day was the extraordinary performance of the Sindh Scouts Archery School, which clinched Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals (5 gold and 5 silver) across all categories. Their disciplined approach, skillful techniques, and remarkable teamwork earned them accolades from participants and spectators. This achievement underscored their dominance in the sport and inspired other institutions to strive for excellence.

Farrukh Bilal Highlights the Future of Archery

Farrukh Bilal, an International Archery Coach and the founder secretary general of the Pakistan Barebow Archery Federation expressed his commitment to making the event more popular and inclusive in the coming years. Responding to a question, he said, “We will continue our efforts to make this event more attractive by increasing the number of participants from schools and colleges.” Bilal also highlighted the historical significance of archery, saying, “Archery is a game with a rich history. In ancient times, wars were fought using archery, and today, it has transformed into a popular sport.” He expressed pride in seeing today’s youth, who are heavily immersed in social media, the internet, and virtual worlds, engaging in physical activity and taking a keen interest in archery. “It’s a big achievement to see kids out on the ground, embracing this ancient sport,” he added, emphasizing the importance of outdoor sports for modern youth.

Farooq Sattar Appreciates the Efforts

MQM Pakistan leader and minister Farooq Sattar also visited the NCC and commended Farrukh Bilal and the organizing team for their efforts to promote archery in Pakistan. He expressed delight at the growing popularity of the sport and was pleasantly surprised to see the large number of female participants. “It’s very heartening to know that archery is becoming popular day by day,” he said. “I was amazed to see so many female participants in a game that was once considered male-dominated. This event breaks stereotypes and shows that archery is for everyone.”

Female Archers Lead the Way Again

Continuing the trend from the first day, female participants outnumbered their male counterparts, demonstrating a growing interest and enthusiasm among young women in sports. Their remarkable participation added vibrancy and energy to the competition, proving once again that archery is a sport for everyone.

Emotions Run High

The ground buzzed with excitement and emotion as students showcased their skills. For some, victory brought cheers and proud moments; for others, defeat meant tears of disappointment. Yet, no one left the ground without a smile, setting personal goals to return stronger and better prepared for next year’s event. The resilience and sportsmanship displayed by the participants left a lasting impression on everyone present.

A Hub for Networking and Learning

Beyond the competition, the event became a melting pot of connections and shared aspirations. Students from different schools, colleges, and universities mingled with peers from other institutions, exchanging stories, discussing strategies, and exploring common goals. Many participants expressed how the event helped them make new friends, learn about balancing sports and academics, and refine their future objectives.
