Karachi: The Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI) and the Balochistan Board of Investment & Trade (BBoIT) will jointly organize the Balochistan Summit 2025 on January 27-28, 2025, in Islamabad. The summit aims to showcase investment opportunities and foster economic growth in the province.

Top civilian and military leadership are expected to attend this crucial event, underscoring the government’s commitment to positioning Balochistan as a prime investment destination.

FPCCI President, Mr. Atif Ikram Sheikh, emphasized the need for special government attention for Balochistan’s industrialization, including tax and duty waivers, the establishment of Special Economic Zones (SEZs), and improved law and order. He also advocated for the creation of a dedicated Bank of Balochistan to facilitate access to finance for businesses.

Mr. Bilal Khan Kakar, Vice Chairman of BBoIT, highlighted the significance of FPCCI’s involvement, emphasizing the importance of securing the participation of the entire business community in the summit.

Addressing Critical Needs:

Several key concerns were raised during the press briefing in Karachi. Mr. Saquib Fayyaz Magoon, SVP FPCCI, stressed the importance of establishing a Bank of Balochistan to address the financing gap in the province. Mr. Nasir Khan, VP FPCCI from Balochistan, highlighted the shrinking employment opportunities for youth due to the decline of SMEs, emphasizing their crucial role in economic growth. He also underscored the need for an insurance company to bolster investor confidence.

Mian Zahid Hussain, Chairman FPCCI-PAB, acknowledged the resilience of the Balochistan people while emphasizing the need to protect cottage industries and MSMEs. Mr. Ahmed Chinoy, senior member FPCCI, stressed the need for a robust marketing and PR campaign to attract domestic and foreign investment, assuring investors of their safety and security.

The Balochistan Summit 2025 is expected to be pivotal in unlocking the province’s economic potential and creating a more prosperous future for its people.
