KARACHI: – WOW Education Valley organized a training workshop titled “Entrepreneurship and Starting Business Without Money” at Sir Adamjee Institute of Management Science on Saturday. The workshop aimed to equip aspiring entrepreneurs with the skills and knowledge necessary to launch their ventures, even with limited financial resources.

Rethink Education: Workshop Equips Students with Entrepreneurial Skills

The session was led by Rehan Hyder, a life coach, educator, entrepreneur, and digital media expert. IT trainer Syed Mehmood Haider, who initiated the workshop, explained that many students struggle to find suitable employment after completing media, graphics, and IT courses. He saw this workshop as an opportunity to provide valuable guidance.

Hyder delivered a thought-provoking presentation, critiquing traditional education systems. He argued that “95 percent of schools are failing children in the name of education,” failing to equip students with practical skills for real-world success. He emphasized the importance of financial literacy, suggesting that financial education should begin as early as 12 years old.

Hyder debunked misconceptions about wealth, stating that “being dedicated is not enough to be rich.” He outlined the importance of understanding wealth creation, including saving habits, reducing unnecessary expenses, and strategic investments for income growth. Owning an expensive phone, he noted, is not a sign of true financial security.

Launch Your Business Without Breaking the Bank

The workshop explored practical steps for launching businesses with limited capital. Hyder informed participants about startup incubation centers in the city, which provide resources and support for new ventures. He encouraged attendees to identify their skills, develop a solid business idea, and approach these incubation centers to launch their entrepreneurial journeys.

In addition to business ventures, Rehan Hyder also emphasized the importance of participating in media competitions. He encouraged participants to explore their skills in filmmaking, photography, and other creative media fields. By entering competitions, he explained, they gain valuable exposure, hone their craft in a competitive environment, and potentially attract recognition or funding for their work. These media competitions, he suggested, could serve as a springboard for launching careers or even sparking entrepreneurial ideas within the media industry.

The session attracted a sizable group of students, with both girls and boys participating. The energy in the room was palpable as they actively engaged with the workshop leader, Rehan Hyder.

A Mix of Aspiring Young Minds

The workshop resonated deeply with the students. Hyder’s thought-provoking presentation and practical advice on launching businesses with limited capital were met with enthusiasm.

Rehan Hyder concluded the session with a sense of empowerment among the students, who felt equipped to pursue their entrepreneurial dreams, and underlined the crucial role of professional consultancy in various fields, including education, business, life coaching, and career development. He stressed the importance of workshops like this one, which provide valuable training and foster networking opportunities for aspiring entrepreneurs.
