On Friday, February 2, 2024, K-Electric (KE) will carry out essential maintenance at the Defence Grid in order to “ensure the stability and reliability of power supply to consumers residing in these areas.”
A statement from KE stated, “The activity requires a shutdown for the Defence Grid from 09:00 am to 6:00 am during which there may be a temporary interruption of supply in areas connected to the above-mentioned Grid.”
Furthermore, it stated that load shedding should not be confused with power supply interruptions brought on by maintenance or technical issues.
Defence Grid areas including Zamzama Commercial Area, Army Housing & Gizri, Khayaban-e-Mujahid of Khayaban-e-Shaheen, Area & Sea View area, Sehar Commercial, Rahat Commercial & Main may experience power outages during the maintenance activities.
