Another price hike has been implemented by Indus Motor Company (IMC), which is responsible for the assembly and distribution of Toyota-branded automobiles in Pakistan. The increase might go up to Rs2.017 million, and the new tariffs will take effect as of March 10th.

The company informed its distributors of the price hike via letter, giving the state of the economy, currency exchange rate problems, and a rise in sales tax as justifications.

“As you’re probably aware, IMC’s production costs have risen due to external factors including economic uncertainty and the extremely volatile condition of the rupee against the dollar. IMC stated that it would be very challenging under the current circumstances to maintain the indicated retail selling prices now in effect.

News prices of Toyota vehicles in Pakistan from 10th March 2023

As a result of the current increase, the base price of a Toyota Yaris 1.3MT is now Rs4.499 million. The price of the car went up by Rs183,000.

The premium Toyota Fortuner Legender now costs above Rs20,000,000 (about $2.8 million). The variation now costs Rs20.129 million.

After a price increase of Rs593,000, the Corolla 1.6 MT may be purchased for Rs6.169 million.

On February 14, in a letter to its dealers, the business announced a price increase of up to Rs890,000 for its automobiles.
