Karachi – The Institute of Business Administration (IBA) Karachi welcomed distinguished guests, including Mr. José Antonio de Ory, the Ambassador of Spain in Pakistan, and Dr. Lucia Egea, Vice Dean of Executive MBA Programs at IE Business School. The visit, hosted by the IBA School of Business Studies (IBA-SBS), took place at the IBA Main Campus.

Key IBA leaders joined the meeting, including Dr. S Akbar Zaidi, Executive Director of IBA, Dr. Abdullah Zafar Sheikh, Dean of IBA-SBS, and other faculty members.

Dr. Egea shared insights into IE Business School’s innovative teaching methods. She highlighted their blended learning approach, project-based education, and strong ties with corporations. These elements, she explained, help Executive MBA students develop practical problem-solving skills. The discussion also covered the growing field of sports management education and how it could be integrated into business programs. Dr. Egea and IBA faculty exchanged ideas on improving undergraduate business education and enhancing hands-on learning experiences.

Ambassador Antonio de Ory stressed Spain’s dedication to strengthening educational and cultural connections with Pakistan. He encouraged greater collaboration between institutions in both countries.
