The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has announced that mobile internet will remain unavailable in the country.

Users across the country are experiencing ongoing difficulties as a result of the countrywide closure of internet access, and the PTA has ruled out the idea of promptly reopening the service.

The PTA has stated in no uncertain terms that internet connectivity will continue to be unavailable across the country until further notice.

As a direct result of the widespread unrest, the telecom industry experienced a loss of 2.46 billion crores in just one day.

According to sources within the telecom industry, the government receives 28.5 crore tax revenue per day from mobile broadband service. The three-day closure has resulted in a loss of around 86 crore tax revenue for the government.

According to the All Pakistan Software Export Association, the turnover of the information technology sector is 12 million dollars a day, and in just three days, the industry has experienced a loss of 10 billion dollars.
