KARACHI: The President of the FPCCI Atif Ikram Sheikh has established a prominent think tank within the organization, which includes leading economists, experts in governance, businesspeople, industrialists, investors, and exporters. The organization will be known as FPCCI’s Think Tank on Pakistan’s Economic Revival & Growth (FPCCI-PERG), and Dr. Gohar Ejaz, a former acting federal minister of finance, revenue, and investments, will serve as its chair.

According to Atif Ikram Sheikh, the whole Pakistani business, industry, and trade community is working together for the country’s economic recovery, and as the highest authority, FPCCI has brought together a collection of the country’s most brilliant minds.

Prominent industrialist Bashir Jan Mohammad, capital markets guru Arif Habib, serial entrepreneur Mohammad Ali Tabba, former FPCCI presidents Mian Muhammad Idrees & Ghazanfar Bilour, leading exporter Dr. Nouman Idrees Butt, CEO of TDAP Zubair Motiwala, Chairman APTMA Asif Inam, and former Lahore Chamber president Shahzad Ali Malik are among the members of FPCCI-PERG.

Members of FPCCI-PERG include Shahid Abdullah, Fawad Mukhtar, Maqsood Ismail, Farooq Naseem, and Shahzad Asghar Ali. The think tank will be centered around thorough analysis and well-informed conversation.

Researching economic possibilities and problems, developing evidence-based policy recommendations for sustainable economic growth, and fostering communication among the quadrilateral coalition of academia, business, government, and civil society are the goals of the think tank.

According to Atif Ikram Sheikh, the nation’s top talent will represent all significant industries and industrial regions. The FPCCI is also eager to begin a results-driven dialogue with the government regarding the federal budget for 2024–2025 and the economic charter, taking into account the recommendations of its think tank.
